Think of a time when you accomplished something really important to you. It doesn’t have to be something that other people recognized or even knew about. Rather, think of a time in which you felt good about something because you did it.
The result we are focusing on here is not what you produced but that feeling of accomplishment that you enjoy. The result could be the number of people you bless, the impact you make on a life that creates space and grace. Our 90-Day Goals are most powerful when they have a clear connection to the ultimate contribution you are designed to make in life.
At Younique we encourage you to create a 90-Day Goal that is results-oriented. While the “R” in SMART goals commonly refers to “relevant,” we find value in highlighting how your work and focus is producing the results you want.
Tip 19: Reach for Results
Back on day 17 we talked about what you measure. What you choose to measure can either be an input (notes written, miles run, minutes praying) or they can be outputs (chapters written, races completed, degree completed). The metrics are very important because they help us know that we are on track.
Results-oriented speaks to the connection between those metrics and what you are looking to accomplish. Why is this goal important to you? The act of simply completing the inputs or outputs is not the win. Rather, how does your work produce the results your goal is designed to achieve. Focus on results for a life well lived.
