Value is about worth.
You set a challenging 90-Day Goal because something is important to you that will be increased, realized or made available. At Younique we call this the “Value to Show.”
Value to Show is all about how to maximize and optimize your one and only life. We don’t want to pursue change for change’s sake or out of a relentless pursuit of worldly success. Instead, we look to increase value so that we can be more generous, experience more joy, and bless the people who we do life with at work and home.
This week your 90-Day Goal will demonstrate the ways in which you are increasing your Value to Show. One way to think about value is through the phrase used by realtors, “highest and best use.” Your 90-Day Goal is already helping you to focus your time and energy where it will help you reach your goals.
Tip 29: Value Add
The Value to Show practice is something that may be new to you. We can all agree that we want to invest our talents and time in a way that brings us life and helps those around us.
But very few of us take the step to negotiate with our boss—or ourselves—to optimize the roles we are playing and the responsibilities we have on behalf of the team. It is all about making ourselves more valuable, which means we need to be intentional about how we design our lives to increase value to our employer or family for the sake of advancing your calling.
Your life and your supporting 90-Day Goal goal are valuable to you. Use it to help you add value to the people you do life with each day. This week we will explore specific tips and practices that will help you demonstrate “Value to Show.”
