Halfway there! Day 45 and we have made it to the midpoint of our Younique 90 Day Goal. Congratulations and enjoy the energy that comes from knowing that tomorrow you are more than halfway to your celebration day.

Keep on Practicing the Keystone Habit of Weekly Reflection

Your commitment and discipline has gotten you this far and you should be proud. I hope the tips shared in this 90-Day Goal Together series have helped you to practice your keystone habit, the Weekly Reflection, and your renewal rhythms are keeping you refreshed and energized for the second half of the journey.

While discipline gets you moving and shields you from distractions, what you need now is a healthy dose of motivation to keep going in the second half. When you manage motivation in your life, a key to success is to mind reinforcements.

Tip 45: Mind Reinforcements

We have all heard of positive reinforcements, perhaps in the art of training a puppy. When the dog sits on command we give her a treat as a positive reinforcement.

Build Positive Reinforcements Into Your Plan If You Really Want to Achieve Your Personal Goal

It works because all of us, animals and people alike, will work hard for things that feel good. As you work your 90-Day Goal, put positive reinforcements in your life design.

When you get up early and get that workout in then treat yourself to streaming a favorite TV show while enjoying your morning coffee. When you write 500 words on your book project, treat yourself to a block of dark chocolate. When you spend 30 minutes alone with the Lord in his word, then enjoy a walk with the dog (don’t forget the treats!). Whatever brings you joy, reserve it to serve as a positive reinforcement.

Negative Reinforcements Can Help You Stay Focused, Too

Similarly, think about negative reinforcements you can put in place to keep you motivated. One of the women who completed her Younique LifePlan decided to commit to making a $100 donation to her daughter’s bank account. While her daughter probably loved the idea, she did not want to lose her budget money for clothes and personal items so it effectively served as negative reinforcement. Yours can be anything that you don’t want to lose or causes you pain or discomfort.

Whether positive or negative, use the power of reinforcements to harness the power of motivation and crush your 90-Day Goal.

Please send me your questions, challenges, and suggestions as we continue in the 90-Day Goal Together. I look forward to hearing from you and sharing the journey with you.
