#1: Walk It Out
A walk, even a short walk, is a powerful way to drum up some energy. Studies show that a walk can improve our sleep, our thinking, and learning all while reducing our stress. Take a walk, an actual, physical walk to increase your motivation.
If it is winter and getting outside is difficult, then find a way to move around. In medieval times cathedrals painted labyrinths on the floors inviting people to walk and pray (you can buy labyrinth mats online!). Walk it out and enjoy the power released from the march.
#2: Let It Out
We all reach the point of needing a good cry. For you the cry might be one filled with tears or it could be more like a primal scream from deep down in your gut. In our Psalms spirituality conversation we appreciated that a full ⅓ of the psalms are ones of disorientation or, in Younique language, surviving. Lean into your humanity and just let it out! Cry, scream, whatever you need to do to use the yell to fuel your motivation.
#3: Laugh It Out
You may or may not be having fun on your way toward crushing your 90-Day Goal. If you are having fun then a good laugh is easy to access and fun to share. If you are not having fun then a good laugh might be just what you need.
Project yourself out 1 year, 3 years, 5 years from now when you are telling the story of this moment at the Thanksgiving table. Can you find the humor? Don’t take ourselves too seriously. Tell your story to someone and invite them to help you to laugh it out.
Use these 3 keys when you need to unlock motivation for your 90-Day Goal. Walk, yell, and laugh your way to success.
Please send me your questions, challenges, and suggestions as we continue in the 90-Day Goal Together. I look forward to hearing from you and sharing the journey with you.
