It’s time to rest.
God rested from his work of creation. Jesus rested from his work of proclamation. You were designed to work out of your rest, not work until you fall down and then rest because you crashed.
If you are anything like me, your days can become filled with small tasks and needs that drain energy away. In our house we call it “being pecked to death by a chicken.” It’s not that one big monstrous project or task stole the day away, but rather all the small things and even the fun distractions that kept us from our goals.
This is where a team of people for you and your 90-Day Goal are so important. It doesn’t matter if you live alone or with a large family. Knowing that you have people cheering for you and helping you to calendar block the time you need to be successful reaching your goal is so valuable.
Tip 7: Recruit Your Team
Invite at least 2 or 3 people into your story and share with them your 90-Day Goal. Give them insight into why this is so important to you and the process you have devoted yourself to the next 3 months.
How can your team help you?
- Your team can help protect the time you need to be successful. Invite your friends to meet you at the gym. Ask your spouse to send you to the home office to bang out 500 words. Tell your coworkers that you are spending lunch working on a new certification. Your team can help protect your time by focusing you and removing your excuses so you can reach your goal.
- Cheer you on! Not every day is going to feel like a win. But your friends and family know you can do it and want to see you crush your 90-Day Goal. We all need the affirmation and encouragement of those who love us most. Enjoy your cheering section.
Don’t go it alone! Recruit your team to get the energy to stay on course.
Please send me your questions, challenges, and suggestions as we continue in the 90-Day Goal Together. I look forward to hearing from you and sharing the journey with you.
