This is the week we will cross the finish line and crush our 90-Day Goal Together. The theme of the week is, of course, CELEBRATE.
We have a few days to go and focus on our goal so we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves. However there is great value in looking at celebration as a spiritual discipline. The practice of celebration focuses on giving thanks and praise to God for all his blessings. We don’t need to be caught in pride and self glorification.
While you certainly should be proud of the hard work you have put into your 90-Day Goal, the opportunity of celebration is to give glory to God and thank those around you who helped you along the way.
As we look at healthy celebration, we can see there are several benefits to practicing celebration. The first is that celebration helps to create a mindset of celebration. In other words, the more you celebrate the more you will have in your life to celebrate. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy in that respect.
Forming a “celebration mindset” helps you to keep clear the person you are becoming by lifting up the goals and aspirations that led you to this 90-Day Goal in the first place.
Tip 85: Set Your Mindset.
A celebration mindset helps us to move past the practice of keeping track of all the things we did not get done, the ways we fell short or the goals that we did not crush. None of us are perfect and there will be times and seasons in which we are taken off course or obstacles fall on our path and we get stuck.
Instead of focusing on these negative and usually infrequent occurrences, set your mind on your wins. Especially celebrate the small victories along the way because doing so gives you eyes to see how both the Lord and those people he has put in your life to help you succeed are not only there today but each day.
Celebration is a mindset. As you get ready to cross the finish line this week on your 90-Day Goal, don’t wait to feel good! Give glory to God right now and thank those around you for helping you to get this far. Your celebration mindset will not only highlight for yourself God’s goodness and provision but will be an energetic witness to those around you as you reach this milestone.
