Crescent Rolls are a tradition in our family at Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. We only have them twice a year, which makes them special.
Crescent Rolls are as much the scent of Christmas to me as cinnamon, pine, and peppermint. And the family joke is that mom (that’s me) always burns the Crescent Rolls. One time! I burned the Crescent Rolls one time. Well, maybe two times. Now each time I put them in the oven I am asked by each member of the family, “did you set a timer for the rolls?”
Crescent Rolls are a part of our celebration and they highlight a benefit of the spiritual practice of celebration which is that celebration helps us to learn continuously. I have learned that setting a timer for the Crescent Rolls helps mom be the hero at holiday dinners!

Tip 87: Learn Continuously.
With each and every challenge you crush and obstacle you overcome, you learn something that can help you be successful and face the challenges that will come your way in the future. Maybe you learned that morning is a better time for you to do focus activities while evening is a better time for you to hit the gym. Hopefully you did not burn anything or break anything. But if you did, what did you learn? How can that help you in the future?
Celebration reminds us of what we have learned. Giving thanks for what we have learned helps us realize that we have, indeed, become more of the person God has designed us to be. We are growing and moving forward, which is the outcome of the learning process that our 90-Day Goal has taken us on. Celebrate the growth and learn from it as you crush this 90-Day Goal and all the ones ahead of you.
